Riverside International Film Festival
16th Annual Riverside International Film Festival – Exposing the Power of Film
We all know a picture is worth a thousand words. And this year’s Riverside International Film Festival (RIFF) says it all with a carefully curated selection of moving pictures.
The festival will open with a community-wide event devoted to raising awareness of human trafficking in California. The event will feature the world premiere of “California’s Forgotten Children,” (www.californiasforgottenchildren.com)
a documentary featuring the true stories of human trafficking victims. The documentary will be followed by a panel discussion with local community leaders and non-profit organizations that serve at-risk youth.
Women’s issues and women filmmakers will also be a highlight of the festival, with an entire day devoted to films by, for, and about women. And this year, RIFF is proud to welcome Mathilde Boureau as Festival Coordinator.
Mathilde is a French graduate student from La Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, and has helped procure some extraordinary animation from France.
With over 50 films from 14 countries, you won’t want to miss this powerful and beautiful trip around the world. The festival begins Tuesday, April 17 and continues through Sunday, April 22.
